If you would like to play in Loughborough Concert Band, read on!

If you play woodwind (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon or saxophone), brass (cornet, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium or bass), double bass or percussion, then you may have come to the right place!

We welcome players of all interests and backgrounds, and no minimum playing standard is enforced. However, you should be reasonably competent on your instrument and some experience of playing in a band or group is preferred. As a general guide a standard of Grade 5 or several years of playing in a band is preferred.

We are always interested in hearing from potential new members, but we do limit places in order to maintain the balance of instruments in the band. Please note that members are expected to make every effort to play in concerts, not just rehearsals.

Currently, we're actively looking for

Trumpet

Bass Trombone – we have an instrument we can loan out

How many concerts do we play?

This varies every year but we aim to do one concert every month although through the summer this can be more.

How much does it cost to join the band?

Members pay subs to cover the cost of the rehearsal room and these are £15.00 per quarter. This can also be paid annually by standing order or bank transfer (£60).
