About LCB
Loughborough Concert Band was founded in January 2000. We currently have an active performance schedule playing several concerts each year as well as performing in Queens Park, at the Remembrance Day parade and in the shopping centre at Christmas. We have raised significant amounts of money for various charities, including helping to raise over £6000 for the Passion project in Shepshed over the last 3 years. Most recently in December 2017 members played at 4 events where over £2700 was raised for charity – see our News page for details.
The band plays a wide variety of music including songs from shows and films, light music and original concert band repertoire.
Rehearsals are held throughout the year on Thursday evenings at The Greenfields Sports and Social Club, Loughborough. The band is open to anyone to join with no audition required and its membership covers a wide age range from teenager to 70 plus.
